Bigger bearings generally have more material and larger rolling elements making them more robust and durable. This results in a longer service life and reduced maintenance requirements as the individual elements do not wear out as quickly when compared to smaller bearings. 

A larger diameter bearing can distribute the load more effectively, reducing stress on individual components and improving overall performance. In manual wheelchair applications, the radial load capacity of the caster bearing is not required to be very high; however, the increased load capability of a larger bearing means that once again, the durability and overall lifespan of the Sevens will be increased. 

Larger bearings can experience less wear and tear, especially in applications with repetitive or high-frequency use. This contributes to a longer lifespan and fewer instances of component failure. 

The larger size of bearings provides better resistance to contamination, such as dust, dirt, debris, and the all too known hair build up!
